Many customers enquire about the Sliding Wardrobe Warehouse’s service. We receive many questions about issues such as wardrobe door sizes, depth to ceiling height and uneven floor or ceiling. We also get general enquiries regarding installation period, payment procedures and installation period etc.

For this reason we have posted the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) on this page. Please use the menu to browse our FAQ list. If you cannot find the answer to your question please contact us.

What size are the doors?

Our doors have no specific size. All our doors are made to measure.

What if my floors or ceiling are uneven?

There is a certain amount of tolerance in the track system and each bottom wheel can be adjusted individually to compensate for uneven floors and ceilings. If it is very uneven, please ask for advice.

What if my ceiling height exceeds your maximum door height?

Depending on how much higher it is you can either put a header in place which still allows you to use the full height inside your wardrobe or fit a top on the wardrobe. We can make some wardrobe doors up to 2740mm (9′) high.

Do you offer a free advice and consultation service?

Yes! All quotations are free and there is absolutely no obligation to purchase. We will call to your home and advise you on the different options or visit the showroom.

How long does it take to install?

We cut and assemble most components in our workshop before delivering to site so it reduces the installation time and cutting on site. A small wardrobe takes a few hours, a large wardrobe a full day.

What is the payment procedure?

We accept all major credit cards and cheques, Bacs payments are appreciated as it keeps our bank charges down. We ask for 30% deposit when the order is placed and the balance to be paid on the day of completion. The balance can be paid to the fitter. DIY must be paid for in full when placing the order.

Will you supply a wardrobe to me for someone else to fit?

Yes! Just fax or email the dimensions and interior layout to us and we will send you a quote. Delivery is normally 2-3 weeks.

What is the minimum depth for a wardrobe?

We recommend a minimum depth of 610mm to allow for hanging if you can afford to make it slightly deeper all the better. For shelving only allow the shelf depth plus 100mm allowance for the tracks.
